A veteran Red Seal carpenter, Straight Up owner Nathan Weston leads a proven, veteran team of local tradespeople and an established network of regional suppliers with decades of experience navigating the unique challenges of Revelstoke home building, renovation, and commercial construction. An contributing member of the Revelstoke business community since 2005, Straight Up continues to deliver quality construction solutions with personalized service.

Nathan Weston

Nathan Weston is a Red Seal Journeyman carpenter with an Applied Project Management Certificate from SAIT. A 4th generation resident of Revelstoke B.C., Nathan proudly represents the Weston name which has become synonymous with the highest standard for detail and craftsmanship.

Nathan’s keen eye for detail and drive for quality has played an integral part in several local commercial, industrial and institutional projects. These include Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s Nelson Lodge, the Best Western Plus Hotel, and Syncrude Aurora. Nathan was also supervisor of the Revelstoke Schools Project, building both Revelstoke Secondary and Begbie View Elementary schools.

Over the years Nathan has played an active role shaping the future of Revelstoke serving as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Policy and Advocacy Committee, the City Financial Focus Group, Advisory Planning Commission, and the Economic Development Commission. Nathan currently serves on the Community Futures Board of Directors, on both the executive team and the loans committee. Nathan has the experience, capability, and commitment to help build a better Revelstoke for the future.

My fiancé and I dove into the intimidating journey of building our first home with Nathan and the Straight Up Construction crew back in 2023 and could not be happier with the process. Not only where we first timers at this, but Nathan and team had to deal with the complexity of us living in the US while building in Revelstoke. The Straight Up team made us feel comfortable every step of the way, providing detailed follow up, professional advice, and an overall sense of calm in what could otherwise be very hectic. Straight Up Construction is a fantastic company to have build your house. Nathan is extremely personable and can explain the details of the process and hold ups exceptionally. It was the most painless way of building a house. We just had to show up, describe what we wanted, make choices, and let Nathan and his associates handle the rest. Any hiccups were all dealt with timely and the ball really felt like it was in my court. At the end of the process they developed a book that contains all the permits, warranties, drawings, operational manuals, and even has a check list on how to check your house during the seasonal changes. It’s phenomenal!
